Dear god, we still have so many of these. I don't know why - they look fucking BOSS and can be put in a frame and displayed on your wall if you don't like the songs. Just, for the love of god, get these out of my house.

This was a wacky idea tossed around by our friends, the long-departed Modern Machines, and us, along with our buddy Jake from Crustacean Records. The idea was to do a split where we each contributed an original, and a cover of the other band. Eventually it spiraled into a full-length split CD and PICTURE DISC (wtf) with those songs and four other covers by each band. Fucking bonkers. The Modern Machines kicked ass, by the way. You should look them up.
So here's the deal: we wanna play nice by Bandcamp's rules, so you can't see or stream any of the cover songs on this recording. BUT, they are all loaded as bonus tracks, so if you buy the album download, CD, or LP, you'll get all of our tracks. We didn't upload the Modern Machines ones, because those aren't ours to upload. You understand. But obviously you get those if you order a physical copy. We can't exactly cut a record or CD in half.
Our tracks:
1) Spin Spider Spin, originally by Takako Minekawa
2) That's Almost Premeditated! by us
3) Ay, Paisano! originally by the Modern Machines
4) We Got the Beat, originally by the Go-Gos
5) Sleep! originally by Big Black
6) That's How I Escaped My Certain Fate, originally by Mission of Burma
Tracks 1, 2, 3 & 5 recorded by Todd Ostertag at Master Blaster in Madison, WI
Track 4 recorded by Danny "the Face" Freidman at the Tannery in Milwaukee, WI
Track 6 recorded by Justin Perkins at Simple Studios in Green Bay, WI
Thanks: Takako Minekawa, Modern Machines, the Go-Gos, Big Black, Mission of Burma, Todd Ostertag, Danny Freidman, Justin Perkins, Ryan at BlueLikeNeon, and the people and things of Crustacean Records.
